Epilog - Examples and Definition of Epilog Epilog DefinitionAn epilog, or epilog, is a section toward the finish of a work of writing, which closes the work. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Epilog, Prologue, and AfterwordEpilogue is something contrary to preamble, which is a bit of composing toward the start of an artistic work. An epilog is not quite the same as an afterword, in that it is a piece of the primary story, happening after the peak, and uncovering the destinies of the characters. An afterword is ordinarily composed by somebody other than the writer, and depicts how the book came into being.Usually, an epilog is set a couple of hours after the primary body of the story, or far into the future, where the essayist addresses the perusers in a roundabout way, through the perspective of an alternate character. In an afterword, then again, a writer addresses the perusers legitimately. In it, an author may give motivation to composing the book, and detail the exploration that has gone into composing the book.
